Inner Transformation Is Progressive

If you’re reading this after receiving deliverance—after God freed you from spirits, addictions, habits, or darkness that held you captive—yet you still feel scared, confused, or unsure of what to do next… this message is for you.

Maybe you're worried you’ll fall back into the old lifestyle. Maybe fear keeps whispering that you’re not strong enough, or that your past will come back for you.

First, rebuke those lies.

You are capable of staying free because Jesus Christ has already taken every evil power captive and pinned it to the Cross. Through Him, you are strong enough to fight anything dark. Through Him, victory is not only possible—it is your inheritance.

Deliverance is immediate, but transformation is progressive.

Healing can happen in a moment, but renewing your mind and changing your patterns takes time. You are unlearning the old autopilot—the toxic habits, the emotional patterns, the harmful thinking—and building a new way of living.

Tell yourself this truth:

If you could gradually fall into a harmful lifestyle, you can also gradually rise into a transformed one

Why Transformation Happens Step by Step..

Your Inner transformation is progressive because God has already done the hardest part and now wants you to do your part. He wants you to do the work that He has made you humanly capable of doing. One of those things will include cutting off the friends that led you into dark paths, or stopping going to certain places that lead you into temptation, cutting off the relationship, quitting that job that was lucrative but against your principles. Once that’s done, you may still feel certain emotions, because again, you were not just spiritually tied but also emotionally tied. It’s hard to imagine a life without those things, but don't let those feelings distract you. Emotions are not the truth—they are just chemical reactions. You must lean on the truth, which is: Jesus died for you to be free; the truth is you deserve better; the truth is you’re capable of living without any addiction because you were born free and you shall live free in Christ.

You also need to now fill your mind with a new way of thinking. This means guarding what you consume as content. Intentionally watch gospel teachings, intentionally read the Word of God, read personal development books, volunteer and help the needy. Do things that can contribute to your emotional well-being. Come out of yourself. Help someone else, motivate someone in a tough situation, encourage others. As you do that, you start building confidence, you start seeing yourself as a hero, and you begin seeing that you have value in society and your community. We as humans all play a role in each other’s lives, and you never know who can benefit from your presence. You may also want to seek professional help depending on your need. Always pray for his grace when you feel fearful of taking these bold steps away from your old life , old self and old identiy.

As you continue to be transformed, you will start to unlearn and learn things about yourself and about God. When you're in a relationship with God, He will start putting people on your heart to pray for, people to bless and help through small gestures. You will also start loving yourself more, seeing yourself the way God sees you. You may also discover other character flaws that God wants you to work on for your good. Don’t get discouraged—always remain with God. Whatever you face, be positive. Don’t give up on God. Keep your eyes on Him. As you grow, God will start entrusting you with missions and sharing with you the plans He has for you.

Healing and deliverance are immediate. It is the process of transformation that is often not linear, and you may feel discouraged because you don’t understand what level you're at. This is the season for you to be intentional about adopting new habits. Don’t fall into the past. Also know: all things are possible with God. He is capable, but He also expects us to change some character flaws, habits, and lifestyle choices
