Whatever you are expecting from God and waiting on Him for, He will do it and deliver in His own timing. But in the meantime, you will have to wait. You will be guided into paths that don’t always make sense to you, because in your mind, you already have a plan. You think you know what’s best.
But walking with Jesus is not by sight, but by faith—by trusting that wherever He leads you will be for your good, even when you don’t know what will happen next.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7
I was watching a powerful sermon by Christine Caine, and she said something that stayed with me:
The reason we often struggle with faith is because we don’t trust God.
And why don’t we trust Him? Because deep down, we don’t believe He is truly for our good.
That lack of trust often comes from media narratives, church hurt, family trauma, and painful experiences we’ve internalized. Over time, we begin to relate to God from a place of fear instead of love.
People will mock you for being a Christian:
-
“So you’re one of those who prays to a white God?”
-
“You believe a book written by men?”
-
“If God is good, why does He allow war and sickness?”
-
“You pray every day, but nothing happens.”
These are tactics of the enemy, often spoken through people, to plant seeds of fear in your mind. And if you haven’t healed from rejection and abandonment, part of you may start agreeing with those voices.
But it’s a lie.
God is good. God is who He says He is. And He will do what He says He will do.
“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.”
— Isaiah 40:31
Waiting is not punishment. Waiting is preparation.
God rewards those who wait on Him. Your patience is never in vain.
When you surrender and decide to walk step by step with Christ, He will show you what to do. He will speak through dreams (take time to interpret them), through worship, through visions, and through His Word.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6
When you lean on Him, He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
What you think is impossible is often based on past attempts—yours, your family’s, or others’ failures. But with you, God can do something new.
“With God all things are possible.”
— Matthew 19:26
God never runs out of ideas.
He does not fail.
I don’t care what people have said about Him in your environment—I need you to believe for you. Believe for your breakthrough. God cannot fail you.
You must come to a new level of belief to see different results.
God is unchanging in His nature, yet He continuously works in new ways across generations. He elevates new people and reminds them:
“If I delivered the Israelites from bondage, I can deliver you.”
“If I restored them from exile, I can restore what you lost.”
That business.
That self-esteem.
That job.
That confidence.
That identity.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
— Hebrews 13:8
Look at what God has done throughout Scripture and expect Him to do the same—not from fear, but from faith.
Trust, by definition, is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone.
Throughout the Bible, God clearly states who He is. Jesus, the Son of God, said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.” — John 14:6
“I am the living water.” — John 4:14
“I am the resurrection and the life.” — John 11:25
Everything He said, He did.
And when He didn’t move, it was often because of disobedience or lack of faith, not because He wasn’t able.
“No one who trusts in You will ever be put to shame.”
— Psalm 25:3
Those whom God calls, He anoints.
You don’t need to be qualified for your purpose—you need to be anointed. The anointing is enough.
Jesus told His disciples:
“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven.”
— Matthew 18:18
So as you wait on God, trust Him. Look at His track record. Silence the noise of trauma. Shut down the lies of the enemy.
How do you strengthen your faith while waiting?
-
Watch testimonies (Joyce Meyer, Christine Caine, Better Together, KTO TV, The Potter’s House)
-
Read faith-based books
-
Spend time in Scripture
-
Let Jesus reveal Himself to you personally
It is worth the wait.
God is faithful.
And He is not done with you.
