Sometimes we have worldly knowledge and understanding about certain situations in our lives through books, science, and past experience — and unfortunately, we stop there, not knowing we’re supposed to go deeper.
I always tell myself: whenever I’m confused about something, if I can’t find the answer in the natural, I have to look into the spiritual. This would often lead me to fast, to hear God clearly on an issue.
But honestly, we should do the opposite: check the spiritual first, then turn to worldly knowledge.
For example, you want a job.
First, go into the spiritual realm and ask God to show you a sign or direction about which job He wants you to pursue. Then start applying.
Because if you don’t ask first, you may end up applying endlessly, receiving rejection after rejection, and feeling offended about positions that were never meant for you in the first place. This builds up unnecessary bitterness.
When you get revelation from God, you can then move into the natural with clarity. You won’t struggle or battle unnecessarily to find the solution.
