Testimony: How I won a $1000 Pitch

God is a miracle worker. What you read in the Bible is the truth. As a Christian, your life should be a series of miracles that testify to the works of God. I experienced a miracle with my business, and I want to share it with you. I won a pitch competition of $1000 — God told me it would happen, and it did. Screenshot of the results below. I even came first.

On Wednesday, October 8th, while in deep prayer, God revealed to me that I would win a pitch competition of $1000 from the business program I was taking at the time with a charity based in Toronto ( I didnt know it would come from here , all I  heard and written in my journal  was that I would win a pitch competion) . I was shocked and a bit in disbelief. I wrote it down, because when you get a message from the Holy Spirit, you have to write it down (the same goes for dreams). I was also confused at the time because I had three pitches planned for that month from different organizations. During the month, I went to two of them and I didn’t win. That crushed me, and I started to doubt the word. Nevertheless, I stayed in the program and focused on my business.

A few days before the pitch competition, I started preparing my slides and got so busy that I didn’t even prepare properly, because you only had 5 minutes to pitch and the funding only went to 10 people per cohort, out of 46 participants. On the day of the pitch, November 1st, I was super nervous and scared and didn’t know what to do. Thankfully, they gave us a few minutes to practice. I almost wanted to give up because I didn’t think I was ready. But the Holy Spirit reminded me of the word He gave me on October 8th. So instead of panicking, I did a test run, and before the presentation, I went into worship and praise, which immediately calmed my nerves.

When my time to present came, I delivered the speech perfectly on time — exactly 5 minutes. I mention this because no one in my group respected the time limit, and that was a major determining factor for the grant. More importantly, I felt confident and calm. They told us they would reach out in a few days with the results.

I was half stressed and half confident, but I stayed in prayer. I prayed not because of the money, but because I had faith that God wouldn’t lie (based on His past track record and the proof in the Bible that He is not a liar). And on another , Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, I got the call that I had won the grant!!!

I just want to encourage those who truly hear from God to trust Him. When He releases a word for you, challenges and confusion may come, but that’s why you need to stand on His word and build your faith — because He is faithful. He has a plan for all His children, but He needs you to believe so that His plans can manifest in due time.
